The coupling/uncoupling bank machine is usually set on the belt-sanding line, by the seal test zone of the bank.

Should the operator check any loss of one or more components during the water test, he must draw the bank from the test tank, put it down on the coupling/uncoupling machine, uncouple automatically (by a foot control lever) the bank, replace the damaged radiator and couple the bank again.

The operator could put the bank again in the water tank for a new test, for safety reasons.
